Importing a Container

We offer a range of container services for a wide variety of customers. If you let us know your shipping line or Agent details or can provide us with the Bill of Lading we can arrange for the to transport your container to a local warehouse for devanning and palletised (if the goods are cartons), or put straight onto an awaiting vehicle for onward transport throughout the UK and Europe. We can also repack spilled cartons or damaged goods.

We are experienced in packing and delivering for delivery to Amazon in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy W and can arrange to collect the container from the port and either deliver to our own warehouse premises in Colchester, Rayleigh and Ipswich for us to palletise for onward shipping within the UK or Europe. When the freight has been stripped from the container we will then return the empty container.

Exporting a Container

We have a small number of preferred warehouse partners who conform to ISO 9001 (based in Ipswich & Felixstowe) through which we offer loading and lashing for your container for delivery to Port.

We can arrange to collect the container from the port and either deliver to our own warehouse premises in Colchester, Rayleigh and Ipswich for us to palletise for onward shipping within the UK or Europe. We are experienced in packing and delivering for delivery to Amazon in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Check. When the freight has been stripped from the container we will then return the empty container to Dublin Port and this would be included in the all-in price we quote you.  20ft, 40ft, 40HC or 45ft container, customer loads the container  premises FCL (Full Container Load) or LCL (Less Container Load) container to Port for shipping worldwide.

Cost of Shunting your container

We can typically collect your container from port and deliver to our own warehouse premises in Colchester, Rayleigh and Ipswich. This is likely costs around £210 based on a 20ft container.

Cost of Devanning your container (Also called stripping or unstuffing)

The costs for devanning will lkely be around £250 + vat based on a 20tf container (This option assumes that your shipping agent has arranged the delivery from Port).

Shipping container dimensions

The most common size contaiiners use in industry and 20ft containers and 40ft containers and these can be loaded in different ways. The full cubic meter size (CBM) is 28 for a 20ft container and 56 CBM for a 40ft container.

20ft Shipping Container Dimensions

6m x 2.4m x 2.6m high with a cubic capacity in M3 of 28. Cubic meters are often noted as CBM.
