The US Market
Products made in Great Britain are in high demand in America due to a strong reputation for quality manufacturing. Food and Drink exports from the UK to the USA totaled £2.2 billion in 2018 and the US is the UK’s second largest buyer of food products. The US is the the planets largest tech market representing over 30% of the global market and was worth over $1.5 trillion in 2019. The USA spent around $3.5 trillion on medical and healthcare products and services in 2019 and is the world’s biggest spender in this sector and current trends indicate that this trend is likely to grow. America has many biotech and pharmaceutical companies that provide opportunities for UK organisations to sell into their supply chains and again this is another growth market in the US.
